I had thought i would blog all the time..but well here i am again. This time my knees are giving me trouble. As soon as i get my mri dr say's he is going to scope my knee..he is sending me for water therapy..i have given up shopping. walking gets my knees and then hips and legs and everything hurting...so i am doing what i can online just wish wally world had store to door delivery.. I ask my Daughter and she does not get it that day or the next and when she goes she forgets the icing i asked for a week ago.
Well what am i doing then...rug hooking its been on my bucket list since the 70's...i was looking and drooling at the rugs hooked on the www and found that A world famous rug hooker lived right in my village...i called her after a week of looking and she has hooked me up....so sweet of her so i am going to join the shenandoah valley fiber arts guild and become a hooker. rug wool is wool fabric cut into small strips 1/2 inch down to 3/32 inch so they are stripper's too.

the long road back to normal

Had a second surgery on the left sholder in Aug. 2008 and have just been released from physical therapy. Was lifting big ole 2 and 3 lb weights. Now my Dr. says I can start lifting and work my way up to 25 lbs. So I am back in the Pottery Studio. It has been a long time since i tore my rot. cuff in April 2007. I am all excited to get back to being normal again. You never know how much you miss your arm till you cannot use it. Well that's all for tonight. I am off to Williamsburg for a visit and of course to do some shopping for yarn at Knitting Sister's.

driving and knitting again

driving and knitting and christmas all in one week....my arm is coming back i had my 5 week check up, since my rotator cuff surgery, nov 14,2007..and he says i can begin to knit small projects. the long needles and shoving the stitchs along the needle realy hurts. and i drove to down yesterday dec 24 christmas eve for the first time and missed the alley i was trying to turn down and tried to make a u turn and found that to difficult to do. so will try to limit the road running. lucky me my daughter did all my driving aand shopping for me. she has been a blessing. My hubby gave me a laptop for christmas... and my son gave me a stand to set it on so it is a little high. will have to get used to the little things. but it is blue tooth capable. My dad sent me a visa gift card since i can not drive up to clarksburg wv, for christmas. So i will check out radio shack see what i can find for the lap top. Put away a lot of ufo's the grandkids were dissapointed that i could not finish the projects i had started for them for christmas. We got them little knitting frames and belt weavers. so i am sure they will be all knitting soon. dan 3rd age 10 ,is going to learn to crochet in his class at school this winter as an alternitive to playing outside..the playground here in front royal , va is all red clay and really messy in winter so they play in gym and parade around the halls. In fact the youngest , bill in kindergarden had a run, run, as fast as you can chase through the school halls chasing a costumed gingerbread man. dan 3rd says kindergardener's get to have all the fun..Even though we have not been able to do much knitting the grandkids have been excited to pick out free patterns on the internet and store them in the computer in thier very own files. and we have serched the internet. for just the right kind of yarn and orderd the yarn and needles . Santa has been good to us, and dr kemp and pro p.t. are getting omaeve's arm in shape so will learn to upload and move files from the old computer. soon to post some stash and wip's May you all be blessed this season and prosperous next year . omaeve signing off "I have nothing to wear!
